Does eye color effect wether you will have red-eye in a picture?

No eye color does not have anything to do with red-eye.

Red-eye is simply the on camera flash bouncing off the retna and reflecting back through the pupil. If you know a picture is going to be taken, look toward, NOT INTO a bright light source. The smaller your pupil the less likely you are at getting red eye. Somethings that you cannot control are the placement of the flash on the camera. The closer it is to the axis, or the lens the more prone that camera is to causing red eye in a subject. When a picture is being taken of you look towards the opposite side of the camera that the flash is on. If the flash is on the right side focus your eyes toward the left side, and vice versa, if all else fails, there are red eye removal tools.Does eye color effect wether you will have red-eye in a picture?
no it does notDoes eye color effect wether you will have red-eye in a picture?
No. Eye colour has no effect whatsoever.

Red eye is caused by light from an on camera flash passing through the pupil and reflecting back from the Retina. In effect you are producing an image of the retina.

It is caused by the flash being too close to the lens axis. The problems is resolved by mounting the flash onto an extension bracket, taking the flash a few inches away from the lens axis.
No, it is direct light reflecting off the back off the eye when the flash is mounted close to the camera lens.

Here are a some ways to combat it

It sure does. Forgot to set my camera for red-eye and my friend had pale blue eyes and the results in photo were terrible. I was able to remove the red-eye using Picasa (free) and then he looked normal.
not at all. red-eye is a result of the focusing light (the red light you see just before a flash goes off). cameras focus with red because of its long wavelength, which is easiest for the camera to interpret.
No. My daughter has dark brown eyes and has red eye in pics. It's about the light reflecting off the pupil.
Yes.

If you have red eyes they will definitely be red in the picture.

HTH.
i find that, the darker the eye, the harder it is to remove red eye.. but that doesnt mean it cannot be done.
it doesn't, the red eye is made by the back of your eye which is the same no matter your iris color
